צמח האניס הוא צמח תבלין הגדל בר בים התיכון הוא עשב חד שנתי ,לפירות האניס יש עבר אלכוהולי עשיר ומשמשים להפקת העארק ,ראקי ,אוזו,אבסינת ,ברפואה המודרנית משמש לבעיות עיכול קלות הן הוא והן שמנו :גאזים בתינוקות וכן לטיפול מכייח במע הנשימה
